'rail dependent' design experimentation workshop

another in the '08 design experimentation workshop series is the 'rail dependent', lead by visiting aj. roberto requejo (principle at working models) and our own aj. narin paranulaksa. the project asked student to reconsider the program of a BTS wagon(car) by first reconsidering the way they use the city through their personalized activities. the results were a variety of design strategies aiming to address the compression of the program into the de-contextualized space of the wagon(car).

2nd year midterm review

our 2nd year students just finished up mid-term review presentations for their second project of the semester. the project was base on the annual P.S.1 design competition. "the museum of modern art and P.S.1 contemporary art center jointly present MoMA/P.S.1 young architects program (yap), an annual series of competitions that gives emerging architects the opportunity to build projects conceived for P.S.1's facility in long island, queens" (http://www.ps1.org/yap/). based on the P.S.1 program students had to propose their own design for outdoor recreation area.
